Prof.Dr.Ir. Massimo Mischi

Massimo Mischi received the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) at La Sapienza University (Rome) in 1999. In 2004 he received the Ph.D. degree from the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Here he was appointed assistant professor (2007), associate professor (2011), and full professor (2018) at the EE Dept. His research focuses on model-based quantitative analysis of biomedical signals. He was awarded with the VIDI Grant (2009) and with the ERC Starting Grant (2011) for his research on angiogenesis imaging. He is chairman of the IEEE EMBS Benelux Chapter and associate editor of IEEE T-UFFC.

Dr. Simona Turco

Simona Turco received the M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Pisa in 2012, with graduation project carried out at Philips Research in Eindhoven. She joined the BM/d research group in 2012 as a PDEng trainee in Healthcare Systems Design, working on DCE-MRI dispersion imaging for prostate cancer localization. In 2018, she obtained her PhD from the Eindhoven University of Technology on functional and molecular imaging of cancer angiogenesis. Currently, she is assisant professor at the BMd lab with research focused on quantitative model-driven analysis of biosignals for cancer diagnostics and perioperative monitoring.
